นักกีฬา Alpine มีชื่อเล่นว่า “ต้นข้าว” ปัจจุบันอายุ 16 ปี กำลังศึกษาระดับชั้น ม.ปลาย การศึกษาทางไกล กรุงเทพมหานคร เดิมเป็นนักกีฬาโรลเลอร์สเกตที่ได้รับรางวัลมากมาย รวมทั้งได้รับโล่ห์เกียรติคุณหลายครั้ง เช่น โล่ห์นักกีฬาดีเด่นประจำปี 2559 จ.สงขลา โล่ห์นักกีฬาดีเด่นสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรี ปี 2560 และ 2561 เป็นต้น

ต้นข้าวเริ่มต้นในกีฬาโรลเลอร์สเก็ต และได้เข้าร่วมการแข่งขันกีฬาแห่งชาติครั้งแรก คือ โคราชเกมส์ ในเดือนธันวาคม 2557 ซึ่งต้นข้าวได้เหรียญทองแดง จากนั้นในช่วงปี พ.ศ 2558-2561 ต้นข้าวออกตระเวนแข่งขันโรลเลอร์สเก็ตในรายการต่างๆทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ โดยสามารถทำผลงานได้ในทุกสนาม ผลงานสูงสุดในต่างประเทศคือสามารถคว้าแชมป์โลกสองสมัยประเภท Slide women ในการแข่งขันชิงแชมป์โลก ปี 2559 และปี 2560  ส่วนผลงานภายในประเทศนั้น ต้นข้าวก็สามารถชนะเลิศเหรียญทองในประเภท Speed slalom และ Slide ทุกการแข่งขันในกีฬาแห่งชาติ และกีฬาเยาวชนแห่งชาติ มาตลอด 4 ปี

          เมื่อขึ้นถึงจุดสูงสุดในกีฬาโรลเลอร์สเก็ต ต้นข้าวจึงเริ่มตั้งเป้าหมายใหม่ เพื่อที่จะเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันซีเกมส์ โดยในเดือนเมษายน 2561 ต้นข้าวได้เข้าร่วมการแข่งขัน Speed ice short track ชิงแชมป์ประเทศไทย และได้เหรียญเงินในรุ่นจูเนียร์ C จากผลงานดังกล่าว ต้นข้าวจึงได้รับเลือกเป็นทีมชาติ Speed ice short track ชุด B และได้รับคัดเลือกให้เข้าแคมป์เก็บตัวนักกีฬาทีมชาติที่ประเทศเกาหลีเป็นเวลาสองเดือน

          ต้นข้าวได้เข้าแข่งขันกีฬาโรลเลอร์สกีชิงชนะเลิศประเทศไทยในปี 2561  หลังจากที่ได้ลองเล่นเพียงหนึ่งวัน และได้เหรียญเงินกับเหรียญทองแดงจากสองรายการที่ลงแข่ง ผลการแข่งขันทำให้ต้นข้าวได้รับการคัดตัวเพื่อไปฝึกซ้อมเเละเเข่งขันกีฬา Cross-country ski และ Alpine ski เมื่อต้นปี 2562 ที่ประเทศอิตาลี ซึ่งนับเป็นครั้งสองที่ต้นข้าวได้สกีบนหิมะจริง โดยได้ไปแข่งสกี Cross country ในกีฬานักเรียนเอเซียฤดูหนาวที่ประเทศรัสเซียในเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ 2562

          เนื่องจากสมาคมเห็นว่าต้นข้าวมีความสามารถด้านการสกี Alpine ด้วย อีกทั้งยังมีความมุ่งมั่นและวินัยในการฝึกซ้อม ต้นข้าวจึงได้รับการคัดเลือกเข้ามาในทีม Alpine เยาวชนเพื่อเตรียมตัวไปแข่งโอลิมปิกเยาวชนฤดูหนาวในเดือนมกราคม 2563 หลังการฝึกซ้อมและแข่งขันเก็บคะแนนอย่างหนักที่นิวซีแลนด์และอิตาลี ในที่สุดต้นข้าวก็ qualify เข้าแข่งขันโอลิมปิกเยาวชนฤดูหนาวที่โลซานในเดือนมกราคม 2563

Miss Nichakan Chinupan (Alpine Ski)
     Nichakan or ‘Tonkao’ is an alpine ski athlete in Thailand’s national ski team for Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG). Tonkao is 16 years old and is a home school student. Previously Tonkao was a roller skate champion who had received numerous awards, for instance Outstanding Athlete of Songkla province 2016, and Outstanding Athlete Award of the Office of Prime Minister 2017 and 2018.
     Tonkao first competed in roller skate at the national level by participating in Thailand National Games, a national multi-sport event held every 2 years, in Khorat in December 2014 where Tonkao received a bronze medal. During the period 2015-2018 Tonkao competed in many races both in Thailand and at the international level. The most impressive performance was to become world champion in Slide women in 2016 and 2017. In addition Tonkao was awarded gold medals in the categories of Speed slalom and Slide in every Thailand National Games and Thailand National Youth Games during the 4 year period.
     After reaching top position in roller skate Tonkao decided to aim for another target: to participate in Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games). In April 2018 Tonkao competed  in Speed ice short track in National Games where she received silver medal for Junior C category. As a result Tonkao was selected into Thailand National Team for Speed ice short track B and was sent to Korea for a 2 month training.
     In October 2018 Tonkao participated in Thailand Roller Ski Championship 2018 in Chumphon (first FIS race in Thailand) and received a silver medal and a bronze medal after having learnt to roller ski for only 2 days. As a result she was selected by the Ski and Snowboard Association of Thailand (SSAT) together with another 11 roller ski athletes to train as a cross country skier in Italy in January 2019, and that was the second time Tonkao has skied on real snow. After the training in Italy Tonkao and the other 11 Thai skiers participated in the Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia in February 2019 as a cross country skier.
    While in Italy Tonkao was also trained as an alpine skier and had a chance to compete in a number of local races. Since Tonkao is the best young female alpine ski athlete, she was selected into the Thailand’s Youth Alpine ski team in preparation for YOG 2020. After intensive training and participation in FIS races in New Zealand  during August-September 2019 and Italy during November-December 2019, Tonkao was eventually qualified to compete in YOG 2020 in Lausanne in January 2020.
